Underground rockers Mugstar hail from Liverpool and have the honour of recording one of John Peel’s last sessions. The band were chosen after he was impressed by their debut single ‘Spotlight Over Memphis’. Collapsar is a rarities collection, taking bits and bobs from throughout their 15 years together. Their music is influenced by psych rock, post-rock, krautrock and folk, and it is all in evidence here, including their version of traditional folk song Tam Lin, made famous by Fairport Convention.
